A bold new era of competition is here! Whether you’re a loot-hungry casual or a trophy-chasing legend, Clash now lets you choose your path — with Split Matchmaking, League Tournaments, Revamped UI, and Over 30 new League Tiers.

Let’s dive into everything that’s changing in the world of Ranked Mode.

Two Modes, Two Mindsets

Pick the way you want to play — loot or glory.

  1. Battle Mode (Casual): No trophies gained or lost; matchmaking by Town Hall (with variance). Magic Shield & Revenge apply here.
  2. Ranked Mode (Competitive): A tournament-based system spanning all Trophy Leagues, built from (and beyond) the old Legend framework.

Battle Mode is for chill clashing; Ranked Mode is for climbing.

  • You’re never locked into one mode — play both.
  • Casual BATTLES help with Star Bonus & loot.
  • Ranked BATTLES impact Leagues, Achievements, and placement.

Battle Mode (Casual)

  • No Trophies earned or lost.
  • Matchmaking based on Town Hall level.
  • Magic Shield and Revenge only apply here.

Ranked Mode (Competitive)

  • Opt-in system for weekly or 4-week League Tournaments.
  • Define base + defending troops before matchups begin.
  • Trophies are earned/lost and determine leader board standings.
  • Tournaments reset:
    • Legend League every 4 weeks.
    • Lower Leagues weekly.

League Tournaments: How They Work

Every week, it’s a new climb to the top.

  • Players sign up Monday–Friday; battles begin Tuesday.
  • Players are placed in Tournament Groups (100 players each).
  • Compete for Trophies through attacks and defences.
  • Promotion/Demotion based on weekly performance.

Battle Schedule:

New League System: 34 Total Ranks

Introducing 33 new leagues plus the new-look Legend League.

  • Each Town Hall level has a League Floor — you can’t fall below it.
  • Hard Mode Modifiers apply in top 3 Leagues.
  • Inactive players decay 1 League per missed week.
  • Auto-promotion when leveling up your Town Hall.

Legend League players must maintain 4900 Trophies to stay ranked.

New Trophy System

Trophies are awarded based on attack success — not just win/loss.

Attack Scoring (per battle):

  • 3-star = 40 Trophies
  • 2-star = 16–32 (damage-dependent)
  • 1-star = 5–15
  • 0-star = up to 4 (based on %)

Defense Scoring:

  • Attacker earns based on their result.
  • Defender earns the remainder of the 40 Trophy pool.

Not 0-sum — both attacker and defender can earn from a single battle.

League Bonus & Star Bonus

Rewards scale with performance and League level.

  • League Bonus is tied to destruction % (up to 100%).
  • Star Bonus now counts from both Battle Mode + League Mode.
  • New resource: Starry Ore added to Star Bonus.
  • Unranked players still get rewards based on Town Hall level.
